The Art Studio at Melas Park opened in the Spring of 1997 and is the Park District’s Center for Visual Arts.

The Art Studio programs cultivate and nurture each student’s vision through the practice of various creative disciplines, such as painting, drawing, sculpture, and more. We are a creative hands on environment for all generations that allows for individual expression!  Art is as varied as the individuals who dedicate themselves to it.

The Art Studio also has become home to the best arts & crafts birthday celebrations anywhere!  With over 1000 birthday parties celebrated, we’ve got a great reputation and the kids love the parties here.

Girl Scouts, Boy Scouts, and Indian Princess groups can have “creative” outings or work on earning merit badges with us!
