Mt. Prospect Park District boasts a choice of fitness centers for its residents. Central Community Center offers a 3,500 square foot fitness center with 27 pieces of cardio equipment from manufacturers such as Precor™ and LifeFitness™ and 27 strength-training stations. Free weights are also available. Just as at our RecPlex Fitness Center, Personal Trainers are available at CCC to our members and non-members. The RecPlex fitness center offers 34 cardiovascular and 33 strength-training stations along with a separate free weight room. Patrons will find a full line of FreeMotion™ and LifeFitness™ equipment; a variety of Precor™ and Life Fitness™ treadmills and cross trainers, as well as a host of Group Fitness and specialty classes.

The 8-lane indoor pool allows year-round aqua fitness classes, family swims, and youth and adult swim instruction. Sore joints? No problem! We offer Aqua Arthricise, Aqua Ease and other programs designed to be easy on joints.

Our Personal Trainers can customize a fitness program designed to meet your individual needs. No matter what your fitness level is, our trainers can work with you to plan a program that will help you achieve your fitness goals.

Staff Massage Therapist can work out the kinks after a workout or provide a relaxation massage after a long day at work. 

Fitness class offerings include among others Pilates, Yoga, Spin™ and Fitness Kickboxing, along with a range of aerobics programs and senior specific classes.  Check out our Group Fitness Passport program to add variety to your workout.
