Considered the community’s premiere arts facility, the Art Studio at Melas Park offers creative classes, workshops and birthday parties. Adult classes are taught by professional artists. Popular birthday party packages for girls and boys preschool through teens. Offering a wide variety of summer, school-year, and school-break programs.

Family Open Paint Day (Ages 3+)

Family time in the Art Studio! Choose the projects you want to paint alongside the ones you love most! This is the perfect way to spend quality time bonding in color with your family; moms, dads, grandparents, aunts, uncles, the more he merrier. Plan to spend an hour with us. Register individually to paint one item. We do have paint shirts, but wear clothing suitable for permanent paint. Children must be accompanied by an adult. No drop off.

Youth Weekly Classes

Kindergarten Art Adventure (Ages 5-6)

Join us for a creative adventure designed specifically for Kindergartners. We’ll discover artistic outlets with art and crafts projects for all seasons. Painting, crafting, creating with clay, plaster art, watercolors, holiday decor and more! Emphasis is on providing a stress free complement to a kindergartner’s day. Stay with us all year, no projects repeat.

Explore the various mediums available; pencil, chalk, watercolor, acrylic and more while learning about concepts, such as, line, shape, texture and color. Youth Oil Painting (Ages 12-18)

Looking for a new medium to explore? Oil painting allows for greater flexibility, richer and denser color, the use of layers, and a wider range from light to dark in colors. We will combine lesson time with free paint time giving students an opportunity to apply what they’ve learned. Class is suitable for all levels. Supplies are included.

Open Studio

School’s Out Open Studio (Ages 5-16)

Get creative and beat the boredom on these hot or rainy summer days! Choose 2 projects from our huge assortment, including wood, plaster projects and more. Join us one and a half hours within the hours and dates listed below. Children under 5 must be accompanied by an adult. Sign up for the day you want, as many as you want. Bring a friend! Attention Girl Scout, Boy Scout & Indian Princess Programs!

Try something “creatively” different and plan your next outing with us! Weeknights and some weekends are available with themed projects for all ages. Girl Scouts and Boy Scouts of all levels can earn various artistic merit badges through The Art Studio as well as celebrate end of year or holiday parties.
