Group Fitness Class Descriptions

4G: Guts, Guns, Glutes & Glory
Target specific areas using various weight bearing exercises for the upper and lower body. This is a great class to help increase bone density.

Balance & Stretch
Get ready to enjoy our standing balance class designed to improve balance, core, muscular strength, and flexibility. Light weights and other equipment may be used.

Cardio Strength Intervals
Cardio Strength Intervals is a high-energy class that alternates between heart-pumping cardio bursts and strength-building exercises. Designed to improve endurance and build muscle, this workout keeps you moving with dynamic intervals and minimal rest. Suitable for all fitness levels, with modifications provided.

Core and More 
This is an all body workout with 20/30/40 intervals of intensity with 10 minutes of rest per interval. Core will be the most challenging part of this workout and the overall goal will be muscle endurance with higher repetitions and lower or moderate resistance throughout.

Dance Tabata
Turn up the music with Dance Tabata — where rhythm meets intensity! This fun, fast-paced workout combines dance-inspired moves with the proven Tabata interval format for a total-body cardio blast. Move to the beat as you groove, sweat, and strengthen your way through powerful intervals that boost endurance, coordination, and confidence.

Full Body Conditioning
Push your limits and elevate your fitness! This high-energy, full-body workout combines strength training, intervals, and functional movement to build endurance, power, and overall athleticism. Expect a fast-paced mix of weights, bodyweight exercises, and explosive conditioning drills designed to challenge every muscle group and keep your heart pumping.

Lower Body & Core Strength
Sculpt, strengthen, and stabilize! This focused strength training class targets your glutes, legs, and core for a powerful lower body and a rock-solid midsection. Using a mix of weights, resistance bands, and bodyweight exercises, you’ll build strength, enhance balance, and improve functional movement. Expect a mix of controlled lifts, dynamic circuits, and core-focused finishers that leave you feeling strong and energized.

Mat Pilates
Strengthen your core while gaining long and lean muscles throughout your body. Improve your balance, flexibility, and stability. For beginners to intermediate to experienced participants. Mini balls, resistance bands, and other equipment may be used.

Power Barre
A low impact, high intensity workout, blending ballet principles and athletic movement to choreographed music. This class focuses on muscular endurance, body toning, sculpting, mobility and joint flexibility.

Power Hour
Join us for a class that focuses on strength, intensity and power broken up in thirds – 1/3 core, 1/3 strength training and 1/3 high intensity cardio. This class focuses on stamina and strength and is designed to keep you working hard and giving your best!

Restorative Movement
Rebalance, renew, and restore your body through gentle, mindful movement. This class blends light stretching, mobility work, and breath-focused exercises to release tension, improve flexibility, and enhance overall well-being. Perfect for recovery days or anyone seeking a low-intensity, feel-good session, Restorative Movement helps you reconnect with your body and leave feeling refreshed, relaxed, and reenergized.

Silver Workout (Ages 55+)
Enjoy a sit and fit workout with yoga and Pilates postures and stretches. Light weights may be used, as well as some optional standing exercises and balance work. However, participants may stay seated for the entire workout. This class is structured for patrons who are 55+ years of age.

Spin
Spin classes are a great way to get a vigorous workout without the impact of running or jumping. You’ll burn calories and keep your muscles in shape while building your cardiovascular endurance and strength.

Strength For Life
A joint friendly full body class that builds strength, balance, stability and coordination. Starting with bodyweight functional exercises then using resistance bands, dumbbells, stability, Pilates and medicine balls. Includes 10 minute warm-up and finishes with gentle stretches and yoga inspired moves. Suitable for all fitness levels.

Stretch & Restore
A low-impact class designed to improve flexibility, mobility, and overall recovery. Through guided stretching, gentle movement, and relaxation techniques, you’ll release tension, increase range of motion, and leave feeling refreshed and recharged. Perfect for all fitness levels.

Tabata
Increase your cardiac capacity while toning your body from head to toe! Each 4 minute interval includes 8 rounds of 20 second high intensity work followed by 10 seconds of rest. Incorporate core toning with a cool down and relaxation segment at the end.

Walk Live
Step into movement—without the impact! This energizing, low-impact workout simulates the benefits of walking and light cardio, all from one spot. Set to upbeat music, you’ll move through a series of walking-inspired steps, arm movements, and gentle strength exercises designed to boost heart health, improve mobility, and increase energy. Perfect for beginners, active older adults, or anyone looking for a joint-friendly way to stay fit and have fun!

WERQ
A wildly addictive cardio dance workout based on trending pop and hip hop music. The WERQ mission is to create a judgement-free dance space built on good vibes, a great sweat, and a supportive community.

Yoga (All Levels)

A Hatha style yoga flow focuses on connecting breath to movement that integrates strength building as well as meditative and restorative elements. Options and modifications will be given to encourage a safe practice for all levels.

Zumba
A fusion of Latin and International dance themes, combining high energy dance moves and slower cardio intervals for a maximum calorie output. Strong uses high intensity intervals and bodyweight training to keep the calories burning.

Zumba Toning
Zumba Toning combines the fun, dance-based movements of traditional Zumba with light resistance training using toning sticks or hand weights. This high-energy class improves cardiovascular fitness, coordination, and muscle tone while keeping the workout fun and accessible for all fitness levels.

Mindful Motion

Mindful Motion (Ages 14-Adult)

This balanced, low-impact class blends the core-strengthening principles of Pilates, the mindful movement of yoga, and guided stretching to improve flexibility and mobility. Participants build stability through controlled movements, enhance posture and alignment, and leave feeling longer, stronger, and more relaxed.

Performance Training with ARC Performance

Performance Training with ARC Performance (Ages 7-18)

Includes 60 minutes of progressive speed and agility work for beginner and advanced athletes who want to take it to the next level. All kinds of tools and tactics are used to assess and progress each athlete through the 6-week program.

Middle School Strength Training Club

Middle School Strength Training Club (Ages 11-15)

Middle School Strength Training Club with ARC Performance focuses on building strength and muscles through proper movement and techniques of common lifts typically seen in the weightroom. Each athlete learns the basics of how to squat, deadlift, bench press, overhead press and proper pulling movements. Other important class components include mobility work to enhance overall movement, myofascial release techniques to keep muscle tissue in optimal condition, and a focus on breathing, bracing, and stabilizing the core in order to optimize lifting and prevent injury.

Donna Majcher, a fitness instructor for over 30 years at RecPlex, teaches this engaging once a month class. Each session will feature a different theme filled with fun, strength, connection, movement, inspiration and more. formats and topics are endless. Perfect for any fitness level. Donna tailors each class to fit individual fitness needs.
