Youth Fall Baseball & Softball Leagues

Registration Deadline July 14

Our fall league is a structured but relaxed environment to develop your skills while trying a variety of positions and using modified rules to keep the game moving. Teams are formed by the Mt. Prospect Park District staff and will practice once a week (on a weeknight) with one game on the weekend (8 game schedule). Age/grade of participant is determined by what grade the child will be in for the 2025-26 school year. Each player receives a t-shirt and hat. Practices will begin in early to mid August. Coach/friend requests are allowed, but are NOT guaranteed (see friend request policy for details). Volunteer Coaches are required at all divisions!

Tee Ball, Rookies & Minors
Games are played Saturdays at various MPPD fields.

Baseball Majors, Pony & Colt ONLY
Teams will compete in the Chicago Suburban Youth Baseball Association (CSYBA) to allow for more competition and games. Games may be on Saturdays and/or Sundays. Playoff participation and tournament play included.

Softball
Softball Divisions are split according to participation numbers. MP Softball teams participate in a Crosstown League with surrounding communities (Arlington Heights, Palatine, Prospect Heights and more) with games scheduled on Saturdays or Sundays.

2026 Patriots Baseball Tryouts

Pre-registration required. FREE to tryout.

Participants only need to attend one of two tryout dates. Players age is determined by how old the player will be on May 1, 2026. Pre-registration is highly encouraged and closes one business day prior to tryout date.
